Hammerknell Fortress in Rift (2012-03-14)
Hammerknell Fortress is the third available 20-player raid instance and the first to be considered Tier 2 in Rift.
The location of Hammerknell Fortress is Moonshade Highlands(6460,1143),the advised minimun level of players is 50,and there are five phases leading up to the opening of Hammerknell's gates. Hammerknell Fortress features both the planes of Death and Water within its three wings,which has 10 bosses,Murdantix,Soulrender Zilas,Grugonim,Rune King Molinar and Prince Dollin,Estrode, Matron Zamira,Sicaron,Inquisitor Garau,Inwar Darktide,Lord Jornaru and Akylios.
Murdantix is the first boss with level 52 in Hammerknell,of which the difficulty level is 6.Ranged DPS and healers need to keep spread apart and the longer the battle lasts, the more Mangled Crush will hurt you.Soulrender Zilas is an undead boss with difficulty level 7,the fight depends mostly on raid DPS and execution.Most importantly,you need to know each of the different types of adds it spawns, and have enough raid DPS to deal with them.
Grugonim is the most challenging beast boss with difficulty level 9,The fight consists of two main phases:the above-ground phase and the burrowed phase.
King Molinar and Prince Dolin is the first boss in the middle wing,which is a humanoid with difficulty level 8.More abilities will be tossed into the fight when you get the bosses to lower health percentages.
Estrode and Matron Zamira are planar bosses with difficulty level 6.Sicaron is an abomination boss with difficulty level 9.Inquisitor Garau is the first and easiest boss in the upper wing with difficulty level 4.Inwar Darktide is a multi-phased boss with difficulty level 8,and the entire fight can last 20minutes. Lord Jornaru and Akylios make up the final and most difficult bosses in the raid.The difficulty level is up to 10.There are 4 phases during the whole long lasting multi-phase fight.
Greenscale's Blight in Rift (2012-03-05)
Greenscale's Blight is a 20-player raid instance in Rift,which includes five different bosses inside a large cavern,located in Stillmoor zone.
Greenscale's Blight is the first available raid instance,the entrance is Stillmoor(775,2700),which contains five bosses,Duke Letareus,Oracle Aleria,Infiltrator Johlen,PrinceHylas,Lord Greenscale.Lord Greenscale is the main boss of the raid.If you want to adventure the raid,the minimum adviced level is 50.
The first boss of the raid with 6 difficulty level is Duke Letareus,which will summon four cruel Brownies, and the fight takes place inside a large,rectangular area.Players usually need to use AES to control the brownies.Infiltrator Johlen is the second boss in a square area and the difficulty level is up to 8,the fight has four phases which will become more difficult gradually.Johlen will drop more and more bombs in each phase.
The third fight with Oracle Aleria in Greenscale’s Blight has two phases and the difficulty level is high up to 9.During the whole fight,there is a bomb mechanic.In the second phase,the Oracle will turn into a large werewolf and you need to DPS down the boss.The last boss before Greenscale is Prince Hylas,the fight has two primary phases as well.During the first phase,Hylas will summon each of the initial three bosses in the raid,each boss will have a single ability and transfer an ability to Prince Hylas when they die.There's a difficult transition in the second phase.
Lord Greenscale is the final boss of Greenscale’s Blight with 10 difficulty level,which is one of the dragon gods of the Blood Storm,who is related to the Plane of Life.The fight is made up of four different phases which is the hardest one ever in rift due to healing and tanking limitations.The majority of the fight relies on execution.
Soul in Rift (2012-02-21)
Players in rift can choose characters from four different callings:Warrior,Cleric,Mage and Rogue.Each of these callings has a number of different souls,which give you access to different abilities and let you improve your character's status.
The process of enabling souls which players discover in your adventures is called Soul Attunement.When a player first enters the game,you have no Ascended soul.The first quest a player encounters is the acquisition of the character's first soul.Then you need to speak with the Soul Informers to learn about the choices you have for your calling and finish all the soul quests to obtain more souls.
As you level up,you will gain soul points,which you can spend to improve skills in your Soul Tree.Base skills in the tree are granted based on how many points you have in the tree.There are a total of 66 points which you can spend when you have reached max level.You have the ability to slot a second soul and a third soul in the introduction area.
The Drowned Halls in Rift (2012-02-14)
The Drowned Halls is a 10-man dungeon instance,located in Lord's Hall.
Players can enter the dungeon through a sliver in Lord's Hall in Scarwood Reach[3071,4123].The Drowned Halls has four bosses:Assault Commander Jorb,Joloral Ragetide,Isskal,and Hydriss.
For Assault Commander Jorb,it is a one-tank fight with an 5 minute enrage timer.A huge physical damage will defeat you and no resistances are necessary for this encounter.When Jorb emotes 'Stand At Attention' with players' name,the tank should rotate the boss 90 degrees to the left or right.When the boss emotes You Can't Hide with players' name,this will cause the player to run about randomly for 5 seconds
Joloral spawns is in the middle of the room,circle around with a Plated Crippler.It is a very heavy hitter,capable of hitting an appropriately geared tank for 3000-4000 physical damage per hit.Players need to keep Joloral Ragetide out of the water and away from the Plated Crippler.
Isskal spawns in the middle of his room,which has three phases:phase 1,phase 2A and phase 2B.Only one tank and two healers should be needed for this encounter.But there should be at least three players capable of interrupting.There are 3 core phases and one intro phase in the fight with High Priestess Hydriss,two of which are in the air,all of them involving some add slaying in some form.After the third phase,the boss will be defeated.
Winds of Chaos in Rift (2012-02-01)
Winds of Chaos is a Raid Air Rift Event in Rift,which is a special dungeons designed for 10-man raid groups and can be opened by using a Lure:Winds of Chaos.
There are four basic requiements of Winds of Chaos:Honored with Zephyiran Collective,500 Planarite,and 10 Corrupted Souls,all of which can be obtained in your capital city and the planar area.There are five Phases in Winds of Chaos,for the first 3 phases there are 4 air pillars around the edges.
The boss in the first phase is Air Nexus,the two birds must be picked up by your tanks and taken to the edges of the rift.Winds of Chaos is the only type of mobs in phase 2,which has an extremely hard hitting cleave.Stormlord Aelaas and Stormlord Zeluus are mobs in phase 3,which must be killed at or near the same time.Storm Legion Bulwark,Striker and Archon will spawn in phase 4,this consists of 2 packs of AOE mobs should be defeated individually.Ruciath is the boss of phase 5,most damage is avoidable,except for the first phase,which is extremely high.
